A good Bible story by Pastor Melissa Scott

Well that’s just a good Bible story. Okay. I’m ready to refute that. A lot of people will say ‘Well what about what happens when people actually come to believe. They are really saved. I’m looking for something in my Bible and talking at the same time. That’s pretty good. I John 1:7. I John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleaneth us from all sin” – not some sin, not possibly a little bit – from all sin. If we say that we have no sin open your hearts today. This isn’t an indictment or a guilt trip. Open your heart and read the scripture with a heart that says ‘God more of you. I want more of you and less of me.’ That’s when God starts to turn on all the dials that need to be turned on to receive more of Him.

Pastor Melissa Scott tells us that if we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins to God; not to sister and brother so-and-so; there is no mediator but Jesus Christ whom we confess to. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If you take that and make that the living word then my question is why are you still carrying around this baggage that when you go to the Table of the Lord. I’m not worthy. I’m made worthy by the blood of the Lamb. I’m still wearing this old crock of flesh. That’s not going to go away until it gets laid down. But in me is the deposit of the new man. The new man is honest enough to – and I’ll speak as a woman – the new woman is honest enough to recognize that old decrepit nature still lives in here.
